Catholic Schools serve as an oasis of hope in many of Rochester’s urban neighborhoods. Through the establishment of the Wegman Inner City (WIN) Voucher Program a Catholic school education has become a reality for many families.  The schools provide a safe, nurturing environment for children from 7:00AM until 5:00 PM.

However, the children and families attending WIN schools face unique problems and challenges that cannot effectively be met solely by a sound academic program.  Many require more individual attention and assistance than can be provided by classroom teachers.  Caring adults are needed to provide help by serving as tutors and mentors for the children.

Volunteer to tutor/mentor in one of the following schools:

• Cathedral School at Holy Rosary
• St. Andrew’s
• St. Boniface
• St. Monica’s
• Holy Family

Give an hour of your time helping a child with reading, math, spelling and your gift of friendship.
