BISHOP CLARK'S FIRST PODCAST

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- In his first use of the increasing popular technology of podcasting, Bishop of Rochester Matthew H. Clark offers thoughts on living the "Easter life" and on the power of faith to transform lives.

The Bishop's message kicks off a series of podcasts through Pentecost, the feast 50 days after Easter on which Christians celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit to the Apostles. In coming weeks, a variety of people in diocesan ministry will offer thoughts on the week's Scripture readings through the podcasts -- digital files that can be enjoyed via a user's computer or downloaded to Ipods(TM) and similar devices.

In his message, the Bishop reflects on the life and love of Jesus as gifts to empower and nurture us.
"They are capable not only of lighting up the darkest places within us but of transforming us ever more deeply to the image and likeness of the Risen Lord who claims us as his own," the Bishop says
