Our Annual Collection is June 2008.

Please be generous.

The Catholic Communication Campaign (CCC) serves millions of people around the world with values-based programming and services and helps the Diocesan Office of Communications in its work locally. This work is crucial in an age when so much of our everyday life is influenced by media.

Each year a special collection is taken to continue the work of communications in the Catholic Church.

Fifty percent of the collection stays right here in the diocese to support our communications efforts. The other half is sent to the Communications Office at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) for the production of national projects such as:

A new parish bulletin insert to enhance the faith experience
Four times a year, parishes in the diocese will receive this creative insert from the CCC full of communication tidbits ranging from how to maneuver the internet, living your faith in the workplace, communicating with your teen to learning to have humor in your prayer life. VIP is written by well-known authors, educators, religious and parents.

Movie Review Line

A toll free movie review line (1-800-311-4CCC) helps callers select appropriate movies for family viewing. The movie review line is updated each Friday and includes the USCC rating, the Motion Picture Association rating and a brief description of the film's story line and a Family Video of the Week. Reviews are also available on the internet by clicking Movie Reviews.

Mass Times

The CCC produces a toll free number (1-800-MASS-TIMES) and web site (www.masstimes.org) to help Catholics traveling in the U.S. find a Mass to attend wherever they may be. New wallet-size cards are available for easy reference when traveling on vacation or business.

Spreading the Good News

Locally, money donated to the CCC is used to promote awareness of the Gospel and our journey of faith, as well as communications to the media about the Catholic Church.
