Diocesan Youth Retreats offer youth a chance to get away with other teenagers their age for a weekend. During this time, young people build community and trust with one another, pray and play together, listen to short witness talks given by the youth and adult leaders and share their own thoughts, beliefs, questions and struggles with other teenagers who care and really want to listen. Teenagers come from all parts of the Diocese to attend, but the one thing they share in common is their desire to develop a better understanding of themselves and their relationship with God. In the meantime, they will meet lots of new people and make some of the best friendships of their lives.

THE AWAKENING FAITH RETREAT IS A WEEKEND FAITH EXPERIENCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN GRADES 9 AND 10. IT IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE TO TAKE SOME TIME AWAY FROM HOME AND USUAL ACTIVITIES TO MEET NEW FRIENDS, HEAR TALKS FROM PEERS ABOUT FAITH, LEARN TO PRAY IN NEW WAYS, AND DISCOVER THINGS ABOUT ONESELF AND ABOUT GOD THAT MIGHT NEVER HAD BEEN KNOWN. EVERY YEAR HUNDREDS OF YOUNG PEOPLE FIND AWAKENING FAITH TO BE ONE OF THE MOST SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCES IN THEIR LIVES.

ENCOUNTERING CHRIST RETREATS ARE FOR JUNIORS OR SENIORS IN HIGH SCHOOL. THEY ARE A CHANCE FOR OLDER TEENS TO "GO DEEPER" AND EXPERIENCE A SIGNIFICANT FAITH EVENT IN THEIR LIVES WHILE MEETING NEW PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE DIOCESE. FAITH, FUN, AND NEW FRIENDS MAKE THIS RETREAT A POPULAR WAY TO LEARN MORE ABOUT GOD AND YOURSELF.
