JOB PURPOSE: Peace of Christ Parish and the Diocese of Rochester Department of Catholic Schools seeks a principal committed to Catholic Education who can effectively lead St. John Neumann School in fulfillment of our mission to preserve and teach the doctrines of the Catholic faith; provide a learning community which fosters academic excellence, and nurture young people to become service-oriented, responsible, and self-disciplined individuals.   The principal serves as the instructional leader of the school and is responsible for all aspects of school operations. Qualified candidates must possess an understanding of the New York State Common Core Learning Standards and possess certification as a School Building Leader and/or School District Leader. QUALIFICATIONS:  Practicing Catholic in good standing; Possess certification as a School Building Leader and/or School District Leader; Experience as an elementary teacher and/or administrator; Experience with curriculum development; Experience with staff development; Strong communication skills with a variety of stakeholders; Proficient with current instructional technology practices.

Administrative Assistant - All Saints Academy – Corning, NY - is seeking a FT Administrative Assistant to work: Mon-Fri- 8:00AM-3:00PM To provide secretarial and related office services for members of the Church or school staff and various other committees and boards. Assures that all secretarial duties for the pastor, principal, and other designated staff are accomplished in a timely and efficient manner.  Accomplishes this by receiving and placing telephone calls for them, scheduling appointments as requested, typing in their written communications (letters, reports, memos), and processing of mail.  Greets and refers visitors to the appropriate ministers, services, or agencies.  Assures incoming and outgoing mail is handled properly by opening and distributing mail and assuring outgoing mail is delivered to the mail box on a daily basis.  QULIFICATIONS: 1. High School Diploma AS Degree preferred.  2.  Active member of a Roman Catholic parish faith community.  3.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.  4.  Proven skills in office, secretarial and receptionist procedures.  5.  Ability to relate well with people by phone or in person in a warm and welcoming manner.  6.  Excellent verbal communication skills.  7.  Ability to honor and maintain confidentiality.  8.  Ability to accurately record messages and refer visitors or callers.
