2026-2027 FT/PT Teacher Positions

Teaching Opportunities at St. Mary’s School – Canandaigua

St. Mary’s School in Canandaigua is seeking caring, organized, and faith-filled educators to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. We are currently hiring for the following positions:

• Elementary Classroom Teacher
• Part-Time Music Teacher (2 days per week)
• Full-Time Physical Education/Health Teacher

The ideal candidates will foster a positive, structured learning environment while supporting the academic, social, and spiritual development of our students in partnership with families and colleagues.

Position Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction aligned with Diocesan curriculum standards
• Create a classroom environment that reflects Catholic values and promotes respect, responsibility, and kindness
• Develop and implement lesson plans, assessments, and effective classroom routines
• Communicate professionally with families, staff, and administration
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student success
• Support the social, emotional, and spiritual growth of students

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required (Education preferred)
• Previous teaching experience preferred
• Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to uphold the mission of St. Mary’s School
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues

Additional Information:

• Full-time positions available (except part-time Music)
• All required diocesan clearances and background checks must be completed prior to employment
