Multi-Parish Catechetical Coordinator

Holy Cross, Mother of Sorrows, St. Charles Borromeo and St. Lawrence in Greece/Charlotte, NY are seeking a full-time (35 hours/week) Catechetical Coordinator. The Catechetical Coordinator reports to the Director of Faith Formation and assists in building a strong Regional Faith Formation Program in which our four churches share resources to serve Catholic communities in the Greece/Charlotte area. The Catechetical Coordinator will be responsible for helping with Sacramental Preparation, OCIC, pre-catechumenate classes, our two-week Summer Faith-Formation Programs, Family Faith Formation and Child Church. Applicants should at least be certified Catechetical Leaders or currently enrolled in the Diocesan Parish Catechetical Leader Certification program at St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s in theology, pastoral ministry, religious studies, or related field. Please send a letter of interest and resume to to apply for this position.

Pay Range: $22 to $24 per hour

Ideal qualifications:

• Bachelor of Arts in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies, or related field.
• At least two years of teaching experience in a parish or Catholic school setting.
• A strong sense of God’s presence in one’s life and ability to share one’s faith journey and enable others to do the same.
• Active membership in a faith community of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Comfortable serving within a Regional Faith Formation Model in which the integrity of each parish’s Faith Formation program is respected and is continuously growing.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a collaborative parish life ministry.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
