Sr. Systems Analyst (full time) 35 hours per week
PAY RANGE: 80-90K annual salary

JOB PURPOSE:
The Sr. Systems Analyst maintains, installs, and operates server and networking hardware for the Information Technology (IT) department. They are a reliable and vital part of the IT team’s success
CORE FUNCTIONS:
- Work with users to understand their needs and create system requirements by analyzing workflows, access, information, and security needs. Design the system setup based on this information.
- Set up systems by planning and managing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of computers, servers, software, and networks (both local and wide area).
- Keep systems running smoothly by monitoring and analyzing performance, fixing issues with hardware, software, and networks, and contacting vendors when necessary for additional support.
- Ensure systems are secure and comply industry standards, diocesan guidelines, and legal regulations by setting up access controls, monitoring for issues, creating backup plans, responding to cybersecurity events and testing disaster recovery processes.
- Maintain clear and accurate system documentation, policies, and procedures for IT systems use.
- Improve systems by working with vendors to test, evaluate, and install software updates and new features.
- Help manage budgets by providing cost estimates and keeping track of expenses.
- Stay current in your field by attending training, reading industry publications, networking, and participating in professional groups.
- Protect the organization’s data by keeping information private and secure.
- Be an escalation path for other IT personnel
- Contribute to the IT team’s success by taking on new tasks, solving problems, and finding ways to improve the role and add value.
- Utilize scripting and other tools to efficiently to complete tasks
- Support and maintain the organization’s Office 365 environment
- Handle projects from planning and execution to final implementation.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Operating Systems: Windows Server 2012/16/19/22, Linux
- Server Applications: Microsoft Hyper-V, Zabbix
- Desktop Applications: Microsoft Word and Excel
- Other Applications: Microsoft 365, CrowdStrike
- Networking Services and Protocols: TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, SMTP, DNS, NAT, ICMP, SNMP, Active Directory, HTTP
- Hardware: FortiGate routers, network switches, Dell workstations, servers, backup devices, laptops, RAID, Printers, scanners, copiers and other peripherals
- Programming: PowerShell
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Networking and Systems Administration or related field
- Minimum 4 years’ relevant work experience in technical support
- Strong analytical and logical problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal communication and relational skills, good organizational and project management skills; sound judgment; initiative; flexibility; detail-oriented
- Appreciation of the Church Mission and ability to establish business principles consistent with the mission.
- Industry Certifications are suggested such as Network+, Security+, Microsoft
