Staff Accountant

Central Business Office (CBO) West operating out of St. Charles Borromeo Parish

 DESCRIPTION OF LEVELS:

 Staff Accountant: The Staff Accountant performs a wide range of financial and administrative functions for church/school/cemetery locations. The Staff Accountant position reports to both the Finance Manager and Director.

LIST OF POSSIBLE JOB DUTIES:

  • Transportation of materials between the location and the CBO.
  • Enter AP Bills/Cut Checks
  • Vendor file record keeping (HH, COI, W9, etc.). The parish office will be responsible for the initial attempt to obtain the appropriate documents.
  • Form 1099 information collection.
  • Revenue entry (Collections, E-Giving, FACTS, Extended Care, etc.)
  • Manual journal entries.
  • General ledger maintenance.
  • Maintaining MIP Accounting System reoccurring and saved functions.
  • Mass reconciliations.
  • Billing for additional parish/school services (shared payroll, extended care, etc.)
  • Information gathering for audits.
  • Bank Reconciliations.
  • Review of the financial aspects of fundraising planning.
  • Review of compliance with counting procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with Diocesan policies and procedures.
  • Other administrative or financial tasks that may arise at the parish or business office location.

Classification: Full-Time Non-Exempt – 35 hours per week

 Compensation: $25-$27
