Our Mother of Sorrows Church, Greece, NY is looking for a cook for 3-6 hours a week for a couple times a month (Tuesdays, Saturdays).

Purpose: This position is that of cook for the rectory of Our Mother of Sorrows Church.

This position includes preparing dinner meals as part of a rotation schedule with two other individuals for a couple times a month for approximately 3-6 hours per week depending on the need. Working on Tuesdays 3PM – 6PM and Saturdays 4PM – 7PM.

Reporting: The cook will report directly to the Pastor.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Meal preparation: Plan and prepare the dinner meal Tuesdays or Saturdays for priests and guests and set the table at previously arranged specified times.
2. Special meals: Assist with preparation and serving with special gatherings.
3. Clean-up: Wash all dishes, utensils and equipment that have been used to prepare the meals.
4. Dietary Accommodations: Prepare meals for any dietary and medical restrictions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Experience: Ability to prepare and serve a meal for approximately 3-5 people efficiently on your own.
2. Communication & Cooperation: Plan with 2 other individuals a schedule for cooking for the month.
3. Organization: Strong time management skills.
4. Confidentiality: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding any information during preparation, serving and cleaning up of meals.

Compensation: Rate of pay is $16 per hour.
