If you have a couple of hours a week and
would like to spend them helping others we ask that you consider volunteering
for the Sisters of Mercy.
The Sisters are working in many areas,
with the elderly, with the disabled, with troubled teens, and with
the homeless, just to mention a few areas of involvement.
The Sisters also could use volunteers to
work on the Motherhouse Switchboard or at the Christmas Sale. There are opportunities for volunteering
for just one activity or for a steady commitment.
Many of you have experienced the caring
and generous nature of these Sisters who reach out to ll in the community.
If you have some time and would like to volunteer please contact Mary
Lynch, the Volunteer Coordinator at 288-2710, Extension 255.

Oh, what to do with all of those clothes you never wear...

women and children. Donations are accepted Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am
to 2:00 pm. Questions can be directed to: 232-5160. Thank you!
M.O.M.S. Group
Moms, are you looking for some adult conversation and a faith-filled morning?
Is your neighborhood quiet with the little ones back in school or settled in day care? Are
you missing some adult companionship and conversation? Would you like to share your feelings
and views with others who share your faith and convictions? Then, MOMS’ may be the group
for you.
A group of Moms meet at Holy Name of Jesus Parish (15 St. Martin’s Way, Greece NY) each Tuesday from 9:45AM-11:00AM in the School of Religion Library for community and
support. It is a very laid back and joy filled morning with reflection on those issues known
especially to Moms of children of all ages. The children attend the sessions and play in an
adjoining room while the Moms sit back and discuss issues close to their heart or just pass the
time with like minded adults (defined as anyone not wearing a purple dinosaur costume). All are
welcome! For more information, please call Marie Marton at 621-6343 x32.
