Multi-Parish Catechetical Coordinator

St. Charles Borromeo, St. Lawrence, Holy Cross, and Our Mother of Sorrows Churches in Greece/Charlotte, NY are seeking a full-time (35 hours/week) enthusiastic Catechetical Coordinator. The Catechetical Coordinator reports to the Director of Faith Formation and assists in building a strong Regional Faith Formation Program in which the four churches share resources to serve Catholic communities in Greece/Charlotte area. The Catechetical Coordinator is responsible for recruiting and training catechists/volunteers, helping with Sacrament Preparation (e.g., Baptism, Confirmation, First Penance, First Communion), OCIC, two-week Intensive Summer Faith-Formation Program, and monthly Family Faith Formation program. Applicants should at least be certified Catechetical Leaders, or currently enrolled in the Diocesan Parish Catechetical Leader Certification program through St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry. Pay Range: $14.61 to $21.16 per hour

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Arts in Theology, Religious Studies, or related field.
• At least two years of teaching experience in a parish/Catholic school setting.
• A strong sense of God’s presence in one’s life and ability to share one’s faith journey and enable others to do the same.
• Active membership in a faith community of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Ability to articulate and implement the vision of a Regional Faith Formation Model in which the integrity of each parish’s Faith Formation program is respected and is continuously growing.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a collaborative parish life ministry.
