Maintenance Coordinator
St. Rita Church
St. Rita Church and School are seeking a full-time (35 hours per week), non-exempt Maintenance Coordinator.
St. Rita Parish is a large campus on about 12 acres with five buildings and green space. The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for managing, scheduling, and tracking repair and upkeep tasks for parish and school buildings and grounds. Collaborates with a supervisor and a Buildings and Grounds Committee to develop the ongoing comprehensive maintenance plan. Responsibilities include weekly mowing, church bathroom cleaning, ongoing maintenance and repairs of heating and cooling units, and snow removal from walks and entrances for parish and school events (including some weekends).
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Successful work experience in minor repair work in carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical.
- Ability to contact and work with vendors/contractors regarding quotes, necessary paperwork, and scheduling.
- Ability to accurately keep records of tasks completed and use a system of work orders
- Successful work experience maintaining grounds.
- Ability to provide own transportation for job-related responsibilities.
- On-call availability for emergencies.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
- Ability to work comfortably at heights such as climbing stairs, ladders, platforms and lifts.
- Good physical condition: Ability to push, lift, twist, bend, stoop, pull, lift and carry heavy objects and equipment (50+ pounds).
- Ability to work outside in various temperatures and inclement weather conditions for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
Wage range for this position is $20-$24 per hour, depending on experience and skill set.
