Getting Comfortable with the Bible

Featuring Fr. George Heyman of St. Bernard’s
St. Joseph’s parish in Penfield will host a special evening of interactive learning, fun, and fellowship for grown-ups on Thursday evening, January 19 from 7:30-9:00 pm. The goal is to help each us become more comfortable praying with the Gospels; listening as God speaks directly to us, as we consider what God reveals in Scripture.
Fr, George Heyman will present some ideas on how we can better understand and pray with the Bible. Fr. Heyman knows a bit about this subject, since he is the Director of Continuing Education, and Professor of Biblical Studies at St. Bernard’s School of Theology & Ministry. He also is Sacramental Minister at the Church of the Resurrection in Perinton. Fr. George always makes study of the Bible accessible, rewarding, and very interesting. All Are Welcome!
Refreshments will be served. St. Joseph’s Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield 14526 (off Five Mile Line Road).
